MonstersWith such imagination so grotesque
And beguiled only being able to prey on the
Immortal innocent slaves just to devour them
Soulless walking invaders creeping the
Desolate facets with their devouring quiet
Burdensome minds, stalking the very outskirts
With little lubricants of time following them
As they go by….
With such subduing thinking that there brilliance
Only to be perfected in time with little ease at best
Such little monsters so lost and opinionated, spying
Only to flaunt their weird obsessions of taunting perils,
Just lurking non-entities filling up the world with they’re
House of WaxSculpted with timeless precision,carved
Deep down with no sense of begotten fear
Tied with lubricants of oozing drips of wax
Large amounts more or less....
Hard and succumbing no mercy to the
One trapped inside, with red sultry liquid
Unbounded to see the twisted schemes
Of fleshly putrid desire....
Lost in the circumference of time no
Interest comes to the sick darkening’s
Of the bestowed damaged mind by reason
To the sculptor what beauty to the eye,
Only done to help soothe a corrupted mind
But not so much for the victims,covered
And sculpted into rigid perfection.....
Abandoned ChapelThe parish waits now,
the loneliness of corners
crawling outward on walls--
chipped away by the wind,
and held together
by silk spindles;
cobwebs align them like the membranes of memories,
the cut of a jewel in an broken window
against the sun
where beads of rain
gather in a mesh of strands
a new Mosaic
against the backdrop of a cemetery;
My eyes seek out the sermon
in close proximity,
paint no distance
between headstone and cloud;
elegies topple each other
in their climb to heaven
as light trickles
over the shade,
breathes a new glow over snuffed candles.
I feel the weight in these empty rows,
how a breath couldn't cease to be breath
in the midst of prayer.
